Sligo New Music Festival: Opening Concert

The Opening concert for the 2010 Sligo New Music Festival will be the first opportunity the public will have to see inside The Model since it closed to undergo an exciting redevelopment in 2008. The 2010 festival focuses on the groundbreaking work of composer Gavin Bryars and opens with one of his greatest works- The Sinking of The Titanic. Performed by The Smith Quartet this work is derived from research and speculations about the sinking of the "unsinkable" luxury liner.
